1. She has written songs for other artists.

Taylor Swift has written songs for Calvin Harris and Little Big Town, among others. Taylor Swift wrote “Better Man” and presented it to Little Big Town. Swift wrote “You’ll Always Find Your Way Back Home” for Miley Cyrus. Furthermore, Kellie Pickler and Swift collaborated on the song “Best Days of Your Life.” Swift also contributed to Sugarland’s song “Babe.”

2. Aside from being a songwriter, Taylor is also an author.

Taylor Swift’s music has a global fan base, with chart-topping singles such as You Belong With Me, I Knew You Were Trouble, and many more. However, music was not the only thing that piqued her interest when she was little. In an earlier interview with GQ, the singer claimed that she wrote a young-adult fiction novel when she was just 14 years old. The Bad Blood hitmaker was 14 when she authored A Girl Named Girl. Swift also shared that the book is about a mother who gave birth to a daughter but desired to have a son instead. She said her parents still has a copy of the book.

3. Some of her songs are texts she wanted to send to people in her life.

Over the years, Taylor has also delivered a number of enchanting performances at the show. In a 2014 Rolling Stone interview, Taylor said sometimes the lines in a song are lines “you wish you could text-message somebody in real life.” Taylor Swift is normally tight-lipped about the individuals she sings about in her songs, but she hasn’t been reluctant to drop a few names over the years. Taylor has deviated from her usual tact and identified individual names in the lyrics of a number of these songs. She has also named a few on her more recent folklore and evermore albums.

4. Taylor Swift helped a fan to complete her bucket list.

Taylor Swift helped a 4-year-old girl with terminal brain cancer cross the last item off her bucket list, which was “to dance to Shake it off with Tay Tay.” She went on FaceTime with the girl after she saw #ShakeItOffJalene trending on Twitter.

5. She is a great actress too!

Taylor Swift is not only known for her killer vocals, stage presence and songwriting skills, but also for her on-screen performances. She first debuted as Haley Jones on CSI, before making a cameo appearance in Hannah Montana: The Movie. Since then, she’s appeared in Valentine’s Day, The Giver and Cats.

6. Swift loves cats!

Her oldest cats are named Olivia Benson, after the “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit” character and Meredith Grey, named after a character from “Grey’s Anatomy.” In 2019, she adopted a new kitty and named him Benjamin Button.

7. She is a born musician.

If there’s one thing you should know about Taylor, it’s that once she sets her mind on something, she’s going to follow through. The talented singer proved this at the age of 12 when she learned how to play a 12-string guitar all by herself (well, with the little help of a repairman who taught her how to play three cords). The rest was all down to her, though – she spent at least four hours a day practicing until she perfected her playing skills.

8. Beautiful inside and out.

She donated $15,500 to a fan whose mother had been in a coma for three years, without forgetting the $17,000 she gave to her home library, or the $10,000 she donated to a service dog of a boy with autism. These acts of kindness are just a few examples among the long list of good deeds Taylor has done since being in the limelight.

9. One of the world’s richest self-made women.

In 2022, Taylor Swift was ranked as the third “Richest Self-Made Woman Under 40” by Forbes, which is a huge achievement. Falling just behind Lucy Guo and the wealthy Kylie Jenner, and with a net worth of $570 million, Swifty has made her mark on the industry and achieved great success over the last decade.

10. 13 is her lucky number.

Unlike the majority of western civilization, Taylor is not triskaidekaphobic – ie, she’s not afraid of the number 13. In fact, she loves it so much that it influences big-deal stuff she does. Born on December 13, she turned 13 on Friday 13. Her first album went gold in 13 weeks. She paints a ‘13’ on her hand before every show she does, noting: “It’s really weird.” In 2009 she commented that every time she’d won an award she sat in the 13th row, seat, section, or in “Row M, which is the 13th letter.” Oh, and she says her first Number One single had a 13-second intro. “Basically,” she’s said, “whenever a 13 comes up in my life, it’s a good thing.”
